Numeracy/Maths
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
This Term's maths homework will depend on the homework option that you have chosen with your childs teacher at the recent 3-way conference.
For those who have chosen option two (the majority of students) each class teacher will issue Maths homework at your childs stage - in some cases it may be the weekly page that is up here, in others it may be something else that the class teacher sets.
While we have previously put complete booklets of each stage on the website for students to use at their own leisure, this year to ensure greater consistancy we will be breaking up these booklets and posting only one page each week for students to access.
Students should work at their stage level. If they do not know their maths stage I would encourage you to ask their teacher.
The worksheets should be completed in blue or black pen, with any parent comments written in red pen please.
The answers will no longer be online as teachers will mark any of the sheets that get handed in. They will use green pen exclusively.
If your child struggles with any particular worksheet, please record this information and share it with the teacher. This will help the teacher, parents and the child to identify his/her next steps in their learning.
As long as their learning is supported and nurtured both at school and home, we have full confidence your child will be successful. Keep up the good work you are doing.
Yours in Education,
Suraya Esau
