News and Events: Take a look!
First planting!
25/3/2011. Today the small core of the EFS team braved the wind and rain to get the first two fruit trees of what they hope will become a great orchard into the ground.
They first chopped up recycled timber from the local refuse centre to make the surrounds that would protect the new fig trees.
They worked well together to hammer them together then dig the ground and hammer the frames in. They then filled the holes with compost and planted the two 'Malta' variety figs that should shoot up and provide students (and birds!) with delicious fruit within the next 2-3 years.
We look forwards to making greater strides forward as more supplies come in from the community - notices like the one above went home today and we hope to get everyone at WHS on board to help out.

WE NEED YOU! - McCain school veggie patch competition!
Keep all of your McCain Veggie's barcodes. Cut them out and bring them to Mr. Meadows. Woodhill School is registering with the McCain Veggie patch program and needs barcodes to trade for garden supplies.
Tell all your whanau, your friends and your neighbours. The more veggies you eat the more our school can grow!
